2015 shaping up to be THE year for Clinician Performed Ultrasound at the U of S

Internal Medicine – Introduction to PoCUS for PGY 1, 2,  3

Thursdays, 1 pm – 4 pm, CLRC, Jan 15, 22, 29, 2015

We will be teaching 3 introductory scans: Pericardial Fluid, Pleural Fluid, Abdominal Free Fluid

The lectures (video based) will be watched by the residents the preceding Tuesday

SKanapalouza 2015

4 pm -8 pm, Jan 28th, 2015, CLRC (includes set up and debrief)

IP1 scanning session with 6 machines and 12-14 trainees (we will need at least 3-4 instructors)

EFAST for General Surgery Residents

Teaching extended FAST to Gen Surg PGY 1-3 (pneumo/hemothorax, pericardial effusion and hemoperitoneum)

Ultrasound Guided Med Ed- Clinical Skills 2

8:30 am – 12:30 pm –  April 6, 10, 20, 24 , 2015, CLRC, U of S

Teaching first year med students how to scan for Pericardial Fluid, Pleural Fluid, and Abdominal Free Fluid.

Instructors needed.

Ultrasound during Resuscitation: An introduction to indications, technical and scanning basics.

Need bedside instructors to assist teaching Anesthesia Physicians and Residents.
